Community Bank Grant Awards 2023

FTG Bank Manager Tina Doran presents the Award ‘cheque’ for FTG Cricket Club All Abilities teams.

The Community Bank Ferntree Gully gave more than $95,000 to the local community in grants at a BBQ at the newly refurbished Upper Ferntree Gully Football Club at Kings Park on 3 May 2023.

At the event, grant recipients were given the opportunity to say a little about the work they do for the community and what they were doing with the funds. The whole event provided well-deserved recognition and acknowledgment of the wonderful work being carried out by many of our local sporting clubs and community groups.

It was an inspiring evening, with eloquent representatives from organisations that provide a wide range of services in the area, from local sports clubs as diverse as baseball, netball and tennis, to those that supply free dinners, aged care services, and even a toy library.

Many of these organisations, the people involved and those they support are doing it tough in this post-Covid era, with costs continuing to surge. The volunteers are the backbone of the community, and doing a fantastic job under challenging conditions. Every contribution, no matter how small, is valued.

The Community Bank Ferntree Gully works hard to support this community, and the Board and staff were very gracious with their thanks to grant recipients, who in turn were very grateful and complimentary of the bank. If you care about the community, it pays to be with the community bank.
