FROGY jumps into action

It’s been seven months since Friends of the Gully (FROGY) started planting out and changing Blind Creek back to a wonderful native habitat. In association with Melbourne Water, Knox Council and Knox Environment Society, FROGY has now planted more than 1000 plants along Blind Creek in Chatham Ave, Ferntree Gully.

FROGY’s plan is to restore upper Blind Creek by weeding, laying mulch, removing rubbish and planting out species native to the local area;  most importantly, meeting new friends along the way and getting a good workout.

There is still more to do and they need your help! If you’re able and want to get out and about, come along to one of their working bees. You can attend casually or join them every month.

FROGY meets at Chatham Ave Reserve near the foot bridge on the 4th Saturday of every month 10am to 12pm. Bring boots, a hat, gardening clothes, a trowel and a smile. The next working bee is 22 October 2022. Contact frogy.info@gmail.com for more information.
