Community Grants Program 2020 announced

The Knox Community Bank Group is pleased to announce the 2020 Community Grants Program is open and taking applications from not-for-profits and community groups.

The Community Grants Program is available to customers of the Knox Community Bank Group. It is used by community-based organisations to gain additional support for projects they would not be able to fund on their own.

This year the Knox Community Bank Group is focused on funding projects that provide a tangible benefit to the community, support volunteer groups, help stage local events and projects that improve local facilities.

‘We are thrilled to be celebrating twenty years of community support and banking in Ferntree Gully, Rowville, and more recently in Caribbean Park.

‘Our Community Grants program is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the local community for supporting us merely by banking with us! Your support has played a significant role in making the Ferntree Gully & Rowville Community Bank branches and the Caribbean Park
(cashless) Branch the success they are today,’ said Etienne Clauw, Board Chair.

The Knox Community Bank Group has invested more than $2.5 million back into the local community, from the profits of people, businesses, and organisations banking locally with them!

As well as being an essential source of funding to support and strengthen the community, the Knox Community Bank Group delivers excellent banking and financial services and provides local jobs.

Applications for the 2020 Community Grants Program will close at 5pm on 1 May 2020.

To apply, or if you would like more information, please visit the Community Bank website.

Meanwhile, here is Gully News Editor Anne Boyd’s speech from last year, accepting a grant on behalf of the Ferntree Gully Traders for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service.
