JANUARY 

26th Jan – Acorn for Aussies Bushfire Fundraiser

Where:  The Acorn Bar & Restaurant, 375 Forest Rd, The Basin
When:  1pm – late
Cost: Free event.
Gold coin donations most welcome.

Come along to the Acorn and show your support. 100% of proceeds will be going to the Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria Welfare Fund. Arrive early as it will be standing room only.

Live music from 1pm, with performances from The Treblettes (from 1pm) and The Guilty Party playing all Aussie hits (4pm onwards).
There’ll also be raffles and silent auctions, face painting from 2pm, and lolly bags and cupcakes for the kids. You can also have your pic taken with Sammy The Fire Truck!

26th Jan – 10 Bands in 10 Hours – Australia Day Bushfire Fundraiser

Where:  The Black Bee Wine Bar, 7 Bayview Road, Belgrave
When:  2pm – 11pm

Come and raise money for an incredible cause with some of Belgrave and Melbourne’s finest musicians! Join us at The Black Bee on the January long weekend to help raise funds for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

We believe that music brings the community together in times of need, so we’re hosting 10 bands in 10 hours over the day and night, with all bands kindly giving their time for the event.

There will be heaps of other opportunities to donate throughout the day and night with a sausage sizzle, beer donations, brewery merch donations, raffles and much more!

28th Jan – Bushfire Relief Comedy Gala

Where:  Billanook College, Alan Ross Centre, 197 Cardigan Road, Mooroolbark
When:  Doors open 7pm, Show starts 7:30pm

A star-studded line up of Australia’s best comedians, with all proceeds going directly to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.

Join us for a night of laughter in the Alan Ross Centre with comedians Dave O’Neil, Nazeem Hussain, Richard Stubbs, Glen Robbins, and surprise special guests. Proudly supported by Watts River Brewery.

Jan – Feb – Support for Mallacoota Golf Club Bistro

Where:  Babaji’s Kitchen, 1/1644 Burwood Hwy, Belgrave (next to Sooki Lounge)
When:  Right through January and February

Come and enjoy the restaurant’s specialty at Babaji’s Kitchen in Belgrave and support the Mallacoota community. All sales of Masala Dosa, a delicious Indian dish, will be passed on to the bistro at the Mallacoota Golf Club, which is experiencing a lack of customers in the wake of the devastating fires.

FEBRUARY 

9th Feb – From the Ashes – A Benefit Concert for the Gippsland CFA

Where:  1812 Theatre, 3 Rose Street, Upper Ferntree Gully
When:  2pm to 5pm
Tickets: $27. All proceeds go to District 11, Gippsland CFA.

An afternoon of song, theatre, poems and comedy from theatre groups in and around the Eastern Region. Also includes a raffle and cake stall for the sweet tooth people.

So come along and leave the blues behind with a fun time guaranteed by all.
