On Wednesday 18 June, Community Bank Ferntree Gully brought together a room full of passionate locals, community leaders, sports clubs, volunteers and service providers to celebrate the awarding of $104K to its recipients in the 2025 Round 1 Community Grants.

These are the people who make Knox tick. Those who coach junior teams, host community meals, upgrade toddler and preschool play spaces, preserve local history, and create safe, inclusive connections. Community Bank Ferntree Gully is proud to stand alongside them and help bring their ideas to life.

Now in its 24th year, the bank has returned more than $5 million to the community it serves. Every account, home loan and insurance policy helps fund real, local projects. The impact is felt everywhere, from canteens and clubrooms to kindergartens and kitchen gardens.

This round of grants supported projects that promote connection, creativity, participation and wellbeing. Some improve infrastructure or technology. Others strengthen care networks or bring people together through music, meals or sports. All of them reflect the heart of our local area.

Each of these projects began with a local idea and a lot of heart. Community Bank Ferntree Gully is proud to support them. This is what it means to be ‘The Heart of Knox’.
