Wonders of the Arboretum

On Saturday 9 September Tim Neville Arboretum (Dorset Road, Ferntree Gully), transformed into a mystical wonderland, with many weird and wonderful creatures, entertainers, singers and workshops inhabiting the grounds.

The interactive workshops and activities included slime-making, circus tricks and ‘mushroom’ making. There were also acoustic singers, roving performers on stilts, and a giant lettuce eating snail called ‘Escargot’, that had a trail of children in awe of its size and ability to slither along the paths.

The amphitheatre was packed with families being entertained by the many performances throughout the day, and with so many free activities it was a great day out for the whole family.
