Foothills Community Care has recently taken over the running of Mountain Gate Community Op Shop, with a Grand Opening celebration set to take place on Saturday 13th August at 10am.

For over 40 years the Mountain Gate Op Shop has served our local community, accepting donations of clothing, toys and other preloved items. The shop is now looking for new volunteers to join the team, along with donations of goods.

It’s great to see Foothills Community Care take over the shop. All funds raised go directly to supporting our local community through Foothills’ range of services, including their weekly Meals Programs, Monday Community Meal at Upwey, Wednesday Community Meal at Ferntree Gully, Community Casseroles and Women’s DV Peer Support Program.

Mountain Gate Community Op Shop is open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 3pm, and Saturday 10am to 2pm. You’ll find them at Shop 51 (next to Montania Cafe) at Mountain Gate Shopping Centre, 1880 Ferntree Gully Road.
