Puffing Billy: Train of Lights

Now in its third year, Puffing Billy’s Train of Lights has become a school holiday tradition, enchanting locals and visitors as it turns the Dandenong Ranges into a mesmerising light show.

Tickets are sold out for this year, but why not enjoy the magic and wave to the Train of Lights as it goes by?

Departing at 6 pm daily from 28th June to 21st July, the train will embark on a return 2.5-hour journey from Lakeside Station to Gembrook. As dusk falls and the chilly winter air sets in, the train will come to life with a dazzling display of moving lights, colours, and immersive patterns as the train winds its way along the historic narrow-gauge track.
