Mahotsavam – Hindu Festival

Sri Vakrathunda Vinayagar Temple (Basin Hindu Temple) cordially invites you, your family and friends to celebrate Mahotsavam 2022. This is the 30th anniversary year of the Temple, making this year’s Mahotsavam extra special for the Temple and all its devotees.
A Mahotsavam is a very significant event for Hindus. This one will involve a procession through The Basin streets. It will be colourful and will honour the main deity of the temple, the elephant-headed god. A statue of him will be carried in a chariot. He has many names including Ganesha or Vinayagar (which is the name of the temple).
