What’s On in Ferntree Gully Village

Time flies when you’re having fun! The Ferntree Gully Village Market Project has already delivered five out of its six monthly markets, with the last one set to wrap up in October.

Over the past several months, this Empowering Communities Project has drawn approximately 1000 people each month, creating a real bustle and community vibe in the local village.

Each market has featured a number of stallholders offering a diverse range of wares including fresh produce, arts and craft, homewares, plants, homemade preserves and more. With a unique selection of entertainment ranging from local musicians, animal encounters, art and craft activities and even an African drumming circle, it has been a wonderful way to bring people of all ages together.

In addition, the market has also served to showcase local community groups. Many organisations have used the market as an opportunity to share their offerings, recruit volunteers and host interactive activities for the public.

The Ferntree Gully Village Market has also become a place to meet local traders and explore what the village has to offer. So, come and reunite with friends, build new connections and have some fun! If you haven’t visited yet, make sure you catch the final one on Saturday 5 October from 9am to 1pm in Station Street FTG (the car park opposite the IGA).
