Ferntree Gully Cricket Club seeks new players to participate in our Woolworth Blasters program (5 years and above), juniors (under 12s through to Under 16’s), seniors, All Abilities and Veteran competitions.
Several senior players have been undertaking additional training sessions since early June 2020 under lights at our state-of-the-art net facilities and a number of our Junior players are hard at it trialling for various teams associated with the Under 15 Craig Shield competition.
Junior and Senior training will begin in August at 51 Lusher Street in Croydon. Training times TBA.
All senior and junior Coaches have Level 1 Accreditation and Working with Children Checks.

Sherbrooke Little Athletics in Ferntree Gully
Sherbrooke Little Athletics is a fun, family friendly environment for 5 to 15 year olds. Children compete in up to 7 events each week, try and beat their own personal best.

POP Boxing (Punch Out Parkinson’s) boxing circuit
When: Every Thursday at 7pm
Where: Reilly Street, Ringwood
POP Boxing is a non-contact fitness circuit designed by MVC Boxing a not-for-profit community boxing gym, dedicated to helping people with their Parkinson disease symptoms.
POP Boxing is based on the fundamentals of boxing training and run out of MVC Boxing’s world class Ringwood Gym facilities. POP boxing is a way to connect, get fit, maintain balance and range of movement to slow Parkinson disease progression and improve quality of life.
Along with medication, boxing circuits such as POP Boxing, are an important part of staying on top of Parkinson’s symptoms. Boxing allows you to maintain strength, fitness and keeps you connected to a community of fantastic locals.
Come along and challenge yourself, work up a sweat, feel more confident and Punch Out Parkinson’s!

Ferntree Gully Tennis Club
When: Thursday evenings at 7pm
Social Tennis at the Ferntree Gully Tennis Club will run every Thursday at 7pm.
This is a great opportunity for players of all abilities to pick up a racquet and have a go at tennis. Tennis balls and spare racquets are supplied offering a fun and social way to get active.

Jack Attack Bowls Club
When: Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm (green opens from 5:30pm)
Jack Attack at the Bowls Club is run as two six-week programs across the year. The games start at 6.30pm but the greens are open from 5.30pm for teams wishing to practise.
The bistro is also open at 6pm for meals and on the sixth and final week of the program the Club hosts a BBQ for participants to celebrate in the spirit of the game.
While all equipment is supplied at the club, newcomers can avail themselves of free coaching on Sundays at 10am.

The Knox Boat Fishing Club inc (KBFC) is a family boat fishing club committed to promoting responsible recreational angling through fellowship and sportsmanship.
Established over 30 years ago, the Knox Boat Fishing Club has grown to over 150 members, based at dedicated club rooms in the South Eastern suburb of Wantirna.
Club meetings consist of angling reports and discussion of past and future club events. Regular guest speakers are scheduled to enlighten us on various areas of fishing.

The Life Activities Club Knox Bush Walking Group is a small group of keen walkers. We walk every Thursday starting at 8.30am. We catch public transport to our selected start location. Our walks are typically 8 – 10km along footpaths and tracks.
The areas we walk include the Dandenong Ranges, Warburton, Warrandyte, Yarra Valley and occasionally some of the bushy areas around the River Yarra and metropolitan Melbourne.
