SUMMARY:2025 Nature Stewards Program
DESCRIPTION:Curious about the flora and fauna around you? Wanting to know how you can support resilient biodiversity and climate? Join the 2025 Knox Nature Stewards Program today. \nThe 10 week program running between April and June  (exc public holiday weekends 19 & 24 April\, and 7 June) will allow you to discover more about the natural environment  around you. \nWhilst immersed in nature\, participants attend lectures and field trips guided by experts\, land managers and local environmental champions. The program includes the following topics: \n\nEcology and ecosystems\nIndigenous cultures and places including ways to care for Country\nGeology and soils\nFlora\, fungi and fauna\nWaterways and water life\nSeasons\, climate and fire ecology\, and;\nHow to become a citizen scientist\, conservation volunteer\, or nature guide.\n\n4-6 field trips will run after classes from 1.30-4.30pm. \nThe program is open to anyone 18 years and over. It will suit anyone with an interest in local biodiversity and a passion for sharing knowledge\, wanting to upskill and gain a deeper connection to nature. \nRegister by Sunday 23 March to learn about your local environment\, meet like-minded people\, and find ways to get outdoors and volunteer! \nLearn more about the Nature Stewards program  \nCost\n\n\nFull fee: $350.00\nConcession (Concession: healthcare card holder\, pensioner\, full-time student): $90.00\n\n\nContact\n\nbiodiversity@knox.vic.gov.au
