National Tree Day
October 9 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
This year Knox will be hosting National Tree day along the Corhanwarrabul Creek in Scoresby/Knoxfield. Unfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings this event has been postponed and rescheduled to Saturday 9 October.
National Tree Day is a call to action for all Australians to put their hands in the earth and give back to their community.
Reconnect with nature by helping to plant over 2000 indigenous plants which will help improve water quality along the Corhanwarrabul Creek and provide important habitat for local wildlife.
Enjoy a guided nature walk and discover the unique biodiversity Knox has to offer. Remember to download the iNaturalist app on your smart-phone to help record any interesting biodiversity you observe on the day!
Plants and equipment are supplied and volunteers are asked to bring gardening gloves. Please wear sunscreen, a hat, long sleeves, sturdy shoes and a water bottle.
